An easy way to memorize Psalms 119 is to sing it.
Recording by Shermaine (Piano), Jemima (Violin) and Joshua (Guitar).
ALEPH
1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.
BETH
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
Starting 17 February 2011, a 3-month campaign will offer an enriching journey for students, parents and educators to learn more about cyber wellness.
Organised by the Media Development Authority (MDA) and supported by the Inter-Ministry Cyber Wellness Steering Committee, the Cyber Wellness Campaign aims to encourage a positive cyberspace culture among students and parents.
Even secular governments are taking what happens on the internet seriously as they can have deadly consequences.
May the Lord give us wisdom about how we conduct ourselves online.
Youth meeting for 12 Feb became a girls meeting as the guys joined the first men's fellowship of the year. We had a great time of singing for the Lord with our deep, deep voices.
There were 3 pastors present, not too crammed because we should be hanging out with the men of God.Pastor Soh shared with us his testimony and it was very interesting to see how God had led him to serve in the Mission field - China at an age of 40+. He gave up a five digit salary and a further promotion in the army to go to the US to prepare for mission work. Wordly temptations may be strong, but God has promised in the bible:
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13
Pastor Sng sharing with us about Men's leadership. He used the example of David and his band of mighty men.And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
1 Samuel 22:2
These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.
2 Samuel 23:8
And finally, we ended off the first men's fellowship of the year with ice cream cake! (its a scoop of vanilla ice cream + chocolate cake)
The first meeting in 2011 for ABC and MBC commenced on 29 January 2011. Meeting point was at ABC in Sembawang.
It was the first time for most of the youths meeting each other.
Bro. Desmond preached the word to the teenagers, and led everyone to think whether we, as Christians, should be like thermostats or thermometers.
The rainy weather nearly made it impossible for the MBC vs. ABC Captain's Ball Match, but thank God, Sis. Susan suggested that Sembawang Community Centre has a sheltered court.
Everyone was sent over to Sembawang CC, and the match begun.
MBC Youths led the first quarter of the game with Shermaine looking fierce. More fierce poses. And on comes ABC's Star Player, Jacob. With no ball too high for him to catch, ABC eventually caught up and won MBC in combined score.Group photo by Timothy Lee.
No hard feelings, there'll be in rematch in the near future!
Last Saturday, there was a change in venue to Uncle Darren's place for a special purpose!
Training by Coach ZY:D
For the word time, we studied 2 diagrams: One for prayer ( what do we pray about and for who)
The other model is the Wheel model for a balanced Christian life!
It centers around Christ, and the four spokes includes prayer, the Word, Witnessing and fellowhip (not juz' FEI- LOWSHIP) :D
There were also two testimonies shared by Heidi and Esther respectively! AMEN!
Stay Tuned for next week's exciting episode:D Hope as many youths can come as possible!
Second meeting of the year successfully commenced at 4PM although we did not have full strength due to conflicting commitments by some of the teens.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Ezra 7:10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
Celebrated Jordan's birthday, exact date(15 Jan) and Esther's birthday(16 Jan). Initially, bought the cake for Esther but Jordan surprised us by letting everyone know it was his birthday today. So, the cake was shared between them two.
Did not continue the decoration of the teens room today, instead we had fun playing Floorball.
What to look out for next Saturday: New ice-breaker coordinatorStay tuned.
We started off the first youth meeting of the year with ice breakers led by Shermaine. Had fun playing the blanket game.
And even more fun for the losing team as the forfeit was to play the rubber band game, where you try to get the rubber band off your face by making silly expressions. More ice-breakers! Everyone had to sit in a circle and pass two balls around, the person who ended up had to do a forfeit. And the forfeit? Chicken dance. Word time by Bro. Darren. With the remaining time left, the teens helped cut out the letters for the theme verse for the teens room wall(photos next week), and brainstormed ideas about how to decorate the teens room.Next Saturday: Singspiration! More games! Study of God's Word! Decoration of teens room! Basketball?!
Stay tuned.
